Our New Condition in Christ – Ephesians 2

Our New Condition in Christ

Ephesians 2:1-22

Intro:

Have you ever seen or heard stories of incredibly talent/gifted people, who were told during their rise to stardom, ”Don’t forget where you came from!”  They go on to incredible success, and one day become someone completely different from whom they were before they “made it big.”

Have you ever thought about what your life was like before you came to know Christ?  Have you started to think just like the persons who became a star, that you made it there on your own?  You are a born again Christian.  How did you get there?

Do you celebrate Independence Day?  Celebrate the ultimate Independence Day, Christ has defeated death and sin, will you accept this truth today?  “O death, where is your victory?  O death, where is your sting?  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  1 Cor. 15:55, 57
